Case Study: Professional Services

Client & Objective:
A 6 Partner Accounting Firm was looking to restructure Partner Capital Loans held against the goodwill of the business and fund 2 additional partners into the business.

Requirement:
The firm was looking for ongoing funding certainty to assist with ongoing succession, future acquisitions and additional working capital to assist with continued growth in WIP and Debtor positions.

Solution:
Combined finance structure was negotiated with a major bank with total firm funding of circa $10m secured against the goodwill of the business. This solution provided the original partners with a clear succession/exit strategy as key staff had a clear funding mechanism at their disposal to purchase equity in the firm. Capacity was also built into the firms acquisition and working capital funding lines to capitalise quickly on opportunities as they presented.
